We're a family new to RVing, and Washington is our home. The Pacific Northwest has some of the most incredible camping in the country — but figuring out which campgrounds actually work for your rig is its own project. Tabs open across Recreation.gov, park websites, Reddit threads, and old blog posts, trying to piece together whether a site even allows RVs, has electrical hookups, or has water.
West Coast RV Camping exists to fix that. One place where you can find what actually matters for your rig: hookup levels, max RV length, dump stations, surface type, cell signal, and reservation windows. Organized consistently across every campground so you can actually compare your options before you commit.
This is a work in progress. We're adding detail, fixing errors, and improving coverage over time. We're fellow campers, not a travel agency, and we're building this the same way we'd want someone to build it for us.
What we care about
No paid placements
Campgrounds can't pay to appear higher in results or in any featured section. Rankings are based on data, not dollars.
Official sources first
Data starts at Recreation.gov, Washington State Parks, and the National Park Service. Not user reviews or aggregator sites.
Improving over time
We're actively adding detail and correcting errors. If something looks wrong, we want to know. That's how this gets better.
RV-first perspective
We focus on what matters to RVers: rig size limits, hookup levels, surface type, maneuverability. Not just "camping" in general.
Campground information on this site is sourced from official park agencies and publicly available data. Not every detail has been personally verified on-site. Conditions change: fees, hookup availability, seasonal dates, and policies can all shift between seasons.
Always confirm details directly with the campground or park before your visit, especially for reservations, road access, and anything time-sensitive. Treat this site as a starting point for planning, not a substitute for checking with the source.
Found something wrong? Have a campground we should add? We genuinely want to hear it.
